Honestly, cloc is mostly a gut check. I’m not looking for a specific number — I’m looking at where the lines are. If 80% of the codebase lives in app/models, that tells me something. Models doing all the heavy lifting usually means business logic tightly coupled to ActiveRecord, which makes it hard to test in isolation and even harder to change safely.
